Link Slack channels to a project

  1. In Slack, open the channel and its details. The Channel ID (it starts with C or G) is at the bottom of the About panel.
  2. Private channels: first add the Claro Historia app to the channel (for example, type /invite @Claro Historia, using the app name shown in your workspace). Without that, the channel cannot be read.
  3. Open the project, go to Project Settings → Slack, enter the Channel ID and a display name, and add it.
  4. The same channel can be linked to more than one project. Messages sync with the next run, or click Sync in Project Settings → Sync.

Good to know

Anything synced into a project can be seen by every member of your workspace, because every member can open every project. That includes people who cannot open the original file or message in the source tool. Only link sources you are comfortable sharing with your whole workspace.

Disconnect

Disconnecting stops syncing and removes Claro Historia’s access immediately. To have content that was already synced removed as well, email support@clarohistoria.com. See Data and security for how long data is kept.
