AI tools (MCP)

Connect Cursor, Claude Code or another Model Context Protocol client to Claro Historia, so the assistant you code with can search your project's decisions, milestones and synced sources and cite them.

Availability

AI tool access is turned on per workspace. If you don't see AI tools in My Settings, email support@clarohistoria.com and we'll turn it on for your workspace. Accounts with the Admin role (workspace administration only) can't create keys, because that role doesn't use projects.

Create a key

1. Click your name at the top right and open My Settings.
2. Under AI tools, name the key (for example, the laptop it's for) and click Create key. Creating a key needs a recent sign-in.
3. Copy the key. It's shown once; Claro Historia keeps only a fingerprint of it.

A key acts as you: it can read every project you can see in the workspace, and nothing else. Treat it like a password. You can have up to 5 keys and revoke any of them in My Settings. Keys stop working as soon as you leave the workspace.

Other clients: use the URL https://clarohistoria.com/mcp/ (Streamable HTTP) with the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY.

What the assistant can do

• list_projects: the projects in your workspace.
• search_project_context: the pieces of a project most relevant to a question, each with a link to its source and whether that source is still syncing.
• get_chunk: the full text of one result.
• whoami: which account and workspace the key belongs to.

Everything is read-only. The assistant can't change projects or anything in your connected tools.

What it can and can't see

• Included: milestones, events and notes, and content synced from Google Drive, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Linear and Notion.
• Not included: Slack, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Outlook content, and anything synced from them. Your personal Gmail, Calendar and Slack direct messages are never available to AI tools.

Claro Historia's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Limits

Each key can make 30 calls a minute, and a workspace 1000 calls a day. A search returns at most 10 results. When a limit is reached, the assistant is told to wait.

Privacy

We log who called which tool and when, never your questions or the text returned, and delete the log after 90 days. Your AI tool's own provider handles what you send it under its own terms.
